My Place To Be (Newark): EdChoice Status & Funding

Where this comes from. School records combine the federal Private School Survey (NCES, 2023-24, with 2021-22 rows for schools that did not respond) with Ohio's state school directory (OEDS) and DEW's 2026-27 non-chartered school list, both retrieved October 28, 2026. "Chartered" means the school appears in OEDS as a chartered nonpublic school, the school type that can enroll EdChoice students; each school also registers as a scholarship provider, so confirm participation with the school. Tuition is not reported to either agency.

Can EdChoice be used at My Place To Be?

—

No state scholarship applies as listed; see school aid and SGOs

My Place To Be appears on the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce's 2026-27 list of nonchartered nonpublic schools. Those are schools that, for religious reasons, operate without a state charter, and EdChoice scholarships are not used there. Families typically rely on the school's own pricing and aid, and on privately funded scholarships.

Faith-based schools of every tradition take EdChoice on the same terms when chartered; ask about community-funded tuition assistance.
