How does a Columbus private school student get College Credit Plus funding?

The parent, not the student, creates an OH|ID account and files a funding application with the college acceptance letter attached. The full-year window for the coming school year runs from February 1 to April 1 at 5 p.m., and a spring-only window runs September 1 to November 1. Full-year award notices come by May 6; spring notices by December 6.

The student must also complete the counseling requirement before the term starts.

Which Central Ohio colleges offer College Credit Plus to private school students?

Columbus State Community College, Ohio State and Central Ohio Technical College in Newark all run College Credit Plus programs, and COTC publishes a page specifically for private school students. Private school counselors usually know which campus their students use most.

Does EdChoice pay College Credit Plus costs?

No. EdChoice pays tuition to the private school only. College Credit Plus is funded separately by the state, which is why a high schooler on an $8,408 EdChoice award can add college courses without touching it.
